NOPAPERINVOICE BY HECTARIS

How to create an invoice in Nigeria

An invoice tells your customer what they owe for goods or services. NoPaperInvoice helps Nigerian small businesses prepare invoices in naira and download them as PDFs.

Create your first invoice

  1. Open the editor and choose Invoice. Select a blank or industry template.
  2. Add your business name, contact information and optional logo.
  3. Enter the customer name, a unique invoice number and issue date.
  4. Describe each item or service, its quantity and unit price. Include delivery charges where needed.
  5. If VAT applies to your business and transaction, enter the appropriate rate and choose its calculation base. Leave it at zero when it does not apply.
  6. Add the payment due date, bank details and agreed terms where relevant. Review the totals and customer details.
  7. Choose Download PDF or Share PDF / WhatsApp.

Make the description useful

A furniture maker could write “Custom three-seater sofa, grey fabric, wooden legs” instead of “Furniture”. For branded T-shirts, include the quantity, sizes, colour and printing method. Event planners can list the agreed services and event date. Photographers and videographers can describe coverage hours and deliverables.

Keep a record you can find again

Use a consistent reference such as INV-2026-001. As a guest, saved documents stay in the current browser. Continue with ChatGPT to save documents to your account and edit them across devices. Device documents transfer only when you choose Import.

Check the requirements for your business

NoPaperInvoice is a document tool. Adding a VAT field does not determine whether you must charge VAT or whether a document meets every requirement for your business. Confirm applicable tax and invoicing requirements with a qualified adviser.
